  2. Enrollment in the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities is subject to a positive evaluation by the Commission responsible for selecting the candidates, which will be composed by at least three teachers from the Master's Degree course. The Commission will evaluate the applications on the basis of the presentation dossier and an interview.
  3. The dossier must contain a copy of the first level qualification, the curriculum vitae et studiorum (in Italian or English) and any certification of knowledge of the English language, as well as a cover letter illustrating the interest and the reasons for enrolling in the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities and the personal and professional objectives of the candidates. If you do not have certificates proving your English skills, these will be verified during the interview.
  4. The admission interview for the degree course is aimed at ascertaining the possession of the basic requirements, necessary to face the master's degree course. In particular, during the interview candidates will be evaluated in relation to their curriculum, with regard to their basic skills with respect to theories and methods in digital humanities, computational techniques and their English language skills. The interviews will take place at least once a year, in blended mode and open to the public, upon notice on the degree course website, in the presence of the admission commission to the master's degree course; particular requests to take the interview on another date will be taken into consideration by the Commission, if adequately justified.

If the candidate does not possess the specific curricular requirements referred to in paragraph 3, upon indication of the CCLM, he / she may possibly enroll in single courses offered by the University and must sustain with a positive result the relative assessment before enrolling in the master's degree.

If you have already graduated or have completed the exams and plan to graduate by the autumn session, and intend to enroll for the academic year 2022-23 in the Language Technologies and Digital Humanities master's degree, as the first step you must submit the Preliminary admission application. The preliminary admission application does not replace the registration procedure, but is an essential part of it and must be submitted directly on the www.unito.it portal from 1 July to 31 December 2022.

If you have graduated or are about to graduate from the University of Turin, you can use your UNITO credentials. If you have graduated from other universities, you will first need to register on the UNITO portal.

After logging in, you can access the IT procedure for submitting the SUM Master's Preliminary Admission Application (Application submission manual). After having entered the exams taken in the procedure, specifying SSD-CFU and grade, you will need to attach the self-certification with the exams taken and the documents proving the possession of the admission requirements (see dossier described above in point 4).

Attention! The lessons of some courses start from 19 September. Check the career plan of the first year of the master's degree, the calendar and the timetable of the courses that you must / want to follow in the first year and plan to start attending classes even before having submitted the application for admission or having completed the enrollment procedure !

If you meet the above requirements and have submitted your application for admission by the dates indicated below, you are invited to an interview aimed at verifying the adequacy of your personal preparation (point 5 of the Admission requirements ), according to the following schedule:

Once you have received notification of the approval by e-mail and on your MyUnito page, in the List of applications submitted through the SUM master’s preliminary admission application procedure, you can, always on your MyUnito, carry out the actual registration procedure, which must be completed by January 19, 2023, as established by the Academic Senate.

If you have not yet graduated but are in possession of the admission requirements, you can proceed with the actual enrollment only after having obtained the Bachelor degree and in any case no later than the deadline of January 19, 2023.

  • If you graduate from the University of Turin, your situation will be automatically updated and you will be able to register on your MyUnito.
  • If you graduate from another university, you must re-enter your Preliminary Admission Application through MyUnito and update your qualification, indicating the date of achievement and the grade. Do not add a Degree, but complete the data of what you have already entered before obtaining it. Your situation will be updated automatically and you can proceed with the registration on your MyUnito.

If you intend to request a career shortening or validation of other teaching activities (changes, transfers or single courses), you must first complete enrollment in the chosen degree program. Then on the information page about the Master’s Degree enrollment of the UNITO Student Service Desk, click on No, I want to open a ticket, enter your UNITO credentials and select Category: Humanities Polo, Subject: Career plan

If you are interested and intend to enroll in this master's degree program, carefully read the admission requirements set by the Didactic Regulations (see point 3 above).

If you meet the requirements before submitting the preliminary admission application, the entire enrollment procedure will be much easier. If, instead you are in the last year of a three-year course - or even earlier! -, in Turin or in any university, and you realize that you lack CFU in the SSD (Scientific Disciplinary Sector) required by the master's degree in which you intend to enroll, try to include them in the career plan, possibly taking advantage of supernumerary credits, and to pass the corresponding exam or exams before graduating. In this way you will not have to face additional costs.

If you lack CFUs in the required SSD (Scientific Disciplinary Sector) and you cannot enter them in the career plan and gain them or if in an orientation interview it has been indicated how many CFUs you need to achieve and in which SSDs, you can enroll in single exams. Attention! Do it as soon as possible, even before applying for preliminary admission!

  • If you register for single exams by July 31 and agree with the teacher, you can take the exam in the first useful session, even in July or September, bringing the program of the year preceding your enrollment in the master's degree.
  • If you sign up for single exams after July 31, instead, you can take single exams in November, only on condition that the teacher agrees, the teaching is scheduled in the first half semester of your first year of master's degree, i.e. in the period in which you are submitting your preliminary admission application, and the lessons are finished by November.

Before purchasing the single exam, check if the teacher responsible for teaching is available to let you take the exam in July, September or November and agree with him / her the program for the exam.

To enroll in single courses:

  • if you are a student of the University of Turin, on the information page about the Master’s Degree enrollment of the UNITO Student Service Desk, click on No, I want to open a ticket, enter your United credentials and select Category: Humanities Center, Object: Single teachings (single courses).
  • if you are not a student of the University of Turin, write to servizistudenti.scienzeumanistiche@unito.it, indicating in the subject of the e-mail: INDIVIDUAL COURSES - ACCESS REQUIREMENTS MASTER ADMISSIONS

If you have applied for preliminary admission, you can take the exams to obtain the missing CFUs within the November session and then enroll without having to submit a second admission application. On the information page about the Master’s Degree enrollment of the UNITO Student Service Desk click on No, I want to open a ticket, enter your UNITO credentials and select Category: Humanities Polo, Subject: Matriculation and enrollment. Ask to close your preliminary admission application, indicating which exam (s) you passed, on what date, for how many credits and in which SSD (s). If you passed them at another university, attach the self-certification!
