Supernumerary credits

The Student Career Regulations, approved by Rectoral Decree 98 of 17/01/2018 and subsequently updated by Rectoral Decree 3948 of 30/09/2019, raised the maximum limit of student-choice credits (which are not included in the calculation of the average) within the following limits:

  • up to a maximum of 60 CFUs in addition to the 180 required for the degree;
  • up to a maximum of 40 credits in addition to the 120 credits required to obtain a master's degree;
  • up to a maximum of 100 credits in addition to the 300/360 credits required for a single-cycle specialisation/master's degree.

The Department of Humanities, in agreement with the Presidents of the Degrees, authorises the student secretariat to follow up on students' requests without the need for approval by the competent Student Practices Committee (or CSS). Interested students, in order to include supernumerary free credits, shall submit a request to the student secretariat via the helpdesk (attaching the request form) and the student secretariat may proceed independently to adjust career plans and exclude supernumerary credits from the calculation of the average.

This possibility is reserved to those who, in the current academic year, are up to date with the payment of fees and submit or modify their career plan.
