1. Students who intend to enroll in the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities must be in possession of a Bachelor's or a three-year university degree or other qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable on the basis of the current legislation. Students must also possess the curricular requirements and an adequate personal preparation, as referred to in paragraphs 2 and 3 below.
2. The Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities has non-restricted access. Enrollment can only take place after passing an interview aimed at verifying the adequacy of personal preparation of the candidates.

In order to access the verification interview, the following minimum curricular requirements are necessary, to be documented:

1. c) knowledge of the English language at least at B2 level.
2. Enrollment in the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities is subject to a positive evaluation by the Commission responsible for selecting the candidates, which will be composed by at least three teachers from the Master's Degree course. The Commission will evaluate the applications on the basis of the presentation dossier and an interview.
3. The dossier must contain a copy of the first level qualification, the curriculum vitae et studiorum (in Italian or English) and any certification of knowledge of the English language, as well as a cover letter illustrating the interest and the reasons for enrolling in the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities and the personal and professional objectives of the candidates. If you do not have certificates proving your English skills, these will be verified during the interview.
4. The admission interview for the degree course is aimed at ascertaining the possession of the basic requirements, necessary to face the master's degree course. In particular, during the interview candidates will be evaluated in relation to their curriculum, with regard to their basic skills with respect to theories and methods in digital humanities, computational techniques and their English language skills. The interviews will take place at least once a year, in blended mode and open to the public, upon notice on the degree course website, in the presence of the admission commission to the master's degree course; particular requests to take the interview on another date will be taken into consideration by the Commission, if adequately justified.
5. If the candidate does not possess the specific curricular requirements referred to in paragraph 3, upon indication of the CCLM, he / she may possibly enroll in single courses offered by the University and must sustain with a positive result the relative assessment before enrolling in the master's degree.

Art.3 of the Teaching Regulations 

If you are already a graduate student or have completed your exams and plan to graduate by the autumn session, and you intend to enroll for the a.y. 2023-24 master's degree in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities, you must submit the Preliminary Application for Admission as a first step. The Preliminary Application for Admission does not replace the enrollment process, but is an essential part of it and must be submitted directly on the www.unito.it portal from June 1 to December 31, 2024.

If you have graduated or are about to graduate at the University of Turin, you will be able to use the UNITO credentials. If you graduated from other universities, you will first need to register with the Unito portal

After logging in, you can access the SUM Preliminary Master's Admission Application procedure (Application Manual). Once you have filled the online form in with the exams you have taken specifying SSD- CFUs and grade, you will have to attach the self-certification with the passed exams and the documents proving that you meet the entry requirements (see dossier described, above, under point 4) 

Attention. Classes for some subjects begin on September 16, 2024, and in some cases you may have to take classes even if you are conditionally admitted, pending graduation or an additional exam. Check the career plan of the first year of the master's degree program, the calendar and schedule of the teachings you have to/want to take in the first year, and arrange to start attending classes even before you have submitted your application for admission and received the final confirmation of admission.

If you meet the requirements indicated above and have applied for admission by the dates indicated below, you are summoned to an interview aimed at verifying the adequacy of personal preparation (item 5 of Admission Requirements according to the following schedule:

Completing the application process (July. 24, 2023-Jan. 17, 2025)

Once you have received notification of approval by e-mail and on your MyUnito page, in the List of applications submitted through the SUM Preliminary Magistral Admission Application procedure, you can carry out the actual enrollment procedure (again on your MyUnito), which must be completed by January 17, 2025, as determined by the Academic Senate.

If you are not yet a graduate student, but you meet the admission requirements, you can proceed with the actual enrollment only after you have obtained your bachelor's degree and in any case no later than the deadline of January 17, 2025.

• If you are graduating from the University of Turin, your status will be updated automatically and you can proceed with enrollment on your MyUnito.
• If you are graduating from another university, you must re-enter through MyUnito in your Preliminary Application and update the Degree, indicating the date of graduation and grade. Do not add a Degree, but complete the data for the one you already entered before you earned it. Your status will be updated automatically and you can proceed to enrollment on your MyUnito.

If you intend to apply for a career shortening or validation of other educational activities (transitions, transfers, or single teaching), first you must finalize your enrollment in your chosen degree program. Then On the United Student Service Desk's Master's Degree Enrollment Information page, click No, I want to open a ticket, enter your United credentials and select Category: Humanities Cluster, Subject: Credit Recognition. If you are interested and intend to enroll in this master's degree program, please read carefully the admission requirements set by the Teaching Regulations (see item 3 above).

If you meet the requirements before you submit your preliminary application, the whole application process will be much easier. If, on the other hand, you are in the last year of a three-year degree program-or even earlier!-, in Turin or in any university, and you find that you are lacking CFUs in the SSDs (Scientific Disciplinary Sectors) required by the master's degree program in which you intend to enroll, try to include them in your career plan, possibly taking advantage of supernumerary credits, and pass the corresponding exam(s) before you graduate. This way you will not face additional costs.

If you are missing CFUs in the required SSD(s) (Scientific Disciplinary Sector) and cannot enter them into your career plan and take them, or if you were told in an orientation interview how many CFUs you need to take and in which SSD(s), you can register for individual examinations. 

Attention! Do this as soon as possible, even before you apply for preliminary admission! If you enrol in Turin for individual courses, you should do so by 26 July 2024 so that you can sit your exams, possibly on a programme agreed with your lecturer, in the September or November calls or by 16 January 2025.

If you register for single examinations after 26 July 2024, however, you can take single examinations in November 2024 or by 16 January 2025, provided that the lecturer agrees and that the teaching is scheduled in the first semester, i.e. in the period in which you are submitting your preliminary application.

  If you have applied for preliminary admission, you may sit the exams to obtain the missing CFUs by 16 January 2025 even at another location. The results of the exams taken must be communicated promptly and in any case by 16 January 2025 in the manner described below. You do not have to submit a new application in any case.

Once you have earned the required CFUs, write to a faculty member of the CdS Admissions Committee  and attach self-certification of the exam(s) taken. Then, on the Master's degree admissions information page of the United Student Service Desk, click on No, I want to open a ticket, enter your United credentials, and select Category: Humanities Hub, Subject: Matriculation and Enrollment. Ask to close your preliminary application, indicating which exam(s) you passed, on what date, for how many CFUs, and in which SSD(s). If you passed them at another university, attach your self-certification.
