Course objectives
The class contributes to the achievement of the educational objectives of the Master's Degree Course in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities by providing an adequate knowledge of the impact of digital technologies on the Aesthetics of Photography. The instructor will focus on following skills: reasoning, contextualizing, and processing.
L'insegnamento concorre al conseguimento degli obiettivi formativi del Corso di Laurea magistrale in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities fornendo un'adeguata conoscenza dell'impatto delle tecnologie digitali sull'estetica della fotografia. Il docente darà particolare rilievo alla capacità di ragionamento, di contestualizzazione e di rielaborazione.

Results of learning outcomes
The students shall acquire abilities of critical analysis and historical and philosophical contextualization of the main themes developed during the course. They will increase their argumentative abilities and the depth of independently developed arguments. Preliminarily, the students will acquire:
- adequate knowledge of the involved themes,
- analytical and argumentative abilities in the discussion of the texts pertaining to the topics explored in the class.Le/gli studentesse/i acquisiranno capacità di analisi critica, nonché di contestualizzazione storica e filosofica dei temi principali sviluppati nel corso delle lezioni.

Learning assessment methods
The evaluation will be based on a final oral test. To meet the course requirements the students will have to show:
a) the ability to present and analyze the topics developed in the class;
b) good mastery of the scholarly lexicon involved in the discussion of the main topics; c) the ability to identify connections and relations of interdependence among the texts studied during the course.
The final grade is based on a scale of thirty points.Conoscenze e capacità saranno verificate attraverso un colloquio orale. La preparazione sarà considerata adeguata (con votazione espressa in trentesimi) se la/o studente dimostrerà:
a) capacità di esposizione e di analisi critica dei contenuti,
b) dominio della terminologia scientifica necessaria,
c) se riconoscerà o stabilirà rapporti e collegamenti di interdipendenza tra le opere studiate.
