Accurate humanistic knowledge, particularly in the historical and literary fields, on the period between the end of the ancient world and the thresholds of the modern age; the ability to understand and use the specialized lexicon of a philological-linguistic and literary order is necessary.

Students will master the content, principles and methods of the philological-linguistic disciplines through digital tools, presenting the results of their study in a correct form.
Le e gli studenti sapranno padroneggiare contenuti, princìpi e metodi delle discipline filologico-linguistiche attraverso gli strumenti digitali, presentando i risultati dello studio in forma corretta.

The course contributes to the methodological and critical training proper to the training course of the degree class and aims to provide students with the fundamental analytical categories to critically use digital tools useful for philological-linguistic research in the field of Romance languages.
L’insegnamento contribuisce alla formazione metodologica e critica propria del percorso formativo della classe di laurea, e intende fornire alle/agli studenti le categorie analitiche fondamentali per usare criticamente gli strumenti digitali utili per la ricerca filologico-linguistica nell'ambito delle lingue romanze.

The main digital tools for philological-linguistic research in the field of Romance languages will be illustrated.

Lectures will be 12 hours (2 CFU) long, held in the classroom with the aid of projections, text readings and digital tools.

Learning assessment methods
The knowledge and skills required will be tested by means of an oral interview, which will focus on: 1) discussion of a report of approximately ten pages on a subject agreed in advance with one of the course lecturers and handed in at least twenty days before the exam; 2) a number of questions aimed at testing knowledge of the specialist essays and the textbook read. Preparation will be considered adequate (with a grade expressed in thirtieths) if the student demonstrates: knowledge, comprehension and ability to apply the topics covered; ability to expound, with ownership of vocabulary (specialist and non-specialist) and with autonomous organisation of arguments; ability to define.
Conoscenze e abilità previste saranno verificate attraverso un colloquio orale che verterà su: 1) discussione di una relazione di dieci cartelle circa su un argomento preventivamente concordato con uno/a dei/delle docenti del corso e consegnata almeno venti giorni prima dell'appello d'esame; 2) alcune domande volte a verificare la conoscenza dei saggi specialistici e del manuale letti. La preparazione sarà considerata adeguata (con votazione espressa in trentesimi) se la/lo studente dimostrerà: conoscenza, comprensione e capacità di applicazione degli argomenti svolti; capacità di esposizione, con proprietà di lessico (specialistico e non) e con organizzazione autonoma delle argomentazioni; capacità di definizione.
